Cat From the Wrong Side of the TracksCat from the Wrong Side of the Tracks is one of Dr. Seuss's fun "alter ego" paintings. Smoking and sporting a "girly-cat" tie, eight of our player's scoring beads are already "used up" and pushed to the right, and the 9 ball rests prominently at the front of a Seussian pool table-an easy shot to make. Is Ted thinking of himself and pondering, just one life left to go? Certainly, most of has only one life to live to the fullest. Adapted posthumously from the 1964 original oil on board.
FrameHere we can appreciate the original frame with slight tones of blues emphasizing beautifully, the artwork.

Indistinct Cat With CigarThis is Indistinct Cat With Cigar. A life-long smoker, Dr. Seuss never smoked where a child might see him. In September 1981 Ted had a minor heart attach; his doctor insisted no more cigarettes. Twenty years earlier he tried to quit by chewing on a com-cob pipe planted with strawberry seeds. This time he filled that pipe with peat moss, planted radish seeds and watered it with an eyedropper-a very Seussian solution. You can also appreciate Dr. Seuss excitement for hats as he collected several through out his life.
FrameHere we can appreciate the original three-part frame that was chosen to elegantly display this work of significant value.
