This particular original painting b Steffens also knowns as the Can artist is the first one in gold color. Some times you find the cans crushed and other times full. The challenge to paint this work on lucite is this technique of painting them as mirror reflection. She choses the lucite instead of canvas because it provides an illusion of floating while bringing focus to the subject matter, creating a 3D like effect.
